Carlo's Eagle Project coming up soon - July 11

Posted on Jul 6 2020 - 12:06pm

Carlo Papa's Eagle Scout Project, July 11th (Rain Date July 12th). His project is a bench and lending library for PRS elementary school. In order to maintain CDC Guidelines, He will be sending out a sign up genius for specific sign up time slots.

We understand that every family has to make the best decision for themselves for your own safety and well-being.  If you are comfortable with coming, please consider helping Carlo with his project.

Masks are to be worn at all times by everyone.
Everyone is expected to maintain social distancing between 6-10 feet.
Please bring the following items:
     Safety Goggles
     Work gloves
     Hand Sanitizer

Scouts and Scouters are suggested to wear their class B shirt.

If you have or had ANY symptoms or were recently with someone who had symptoms or were exposed to someone with COVID within the last 14 days, please stay home.

A leader may take your temperature upon arrival with a no contact infrared thermometer.  Anyone whose temperature is 100 or above, will be asked to go home.

In an effort to keep our gathering small, we ask that siblings either stay home or if they must come due to family circumstance, please have them remain with the parent away from the scouting activities.

The virtual Court of Honor and our last Troop meeting of the season was a success. Enjoy your summer!

Posted on Jun 10 2020 - 10:35pm

The Scouts put on a wonderful Court of Honor ceremony at our last Troop meeting of the 2019-2020 year.

They put on a Cross Over ceremony, recognized rank advancements, and Merit Badges earned.

Congratulations running a great ceremony virtually, and to all the Scouts who have ranked up, and earned Merit Badges!

Remember you can work on Scouting skills for ranks and work on Merit Badges all year round.   Reach out to your leaders if you're interested in working on anything, or taking advantage of any other Scouting opportunities this summer.

We'll be holding some optional Merit Badge sessions starting in two weeks.  Check our calendar, and keep an eye out for more announcements and opportunities.

Taps played in honor of Memorial Day

Posted on May 27 2020 - 7:21pm

To honor veterans on Memorial Day we typically participate in a parade and ceremony, but unfortunately this year that will not be possible.  Scouts in town and across the country did play taps to honor those veterans that have gone before us.  A link to see two of our troop's Scouts playing taps. Thanks.

Look at the Cyber Chip requirements for your grade, follow the steps, and come prepared on Monday!

Posted on May 6 2020 - 10:46pm
Here is the link to the Scouts website.   Everyone should be earning the Cyber Chip, should look at the website, and review any work they can do at home.
Follow the link for your grade - There are videos and other things to do before Monday.    Don't worry about the physical card - we have those and will sign them once we start meeting in person.
