We kicked off Personal Fitness and Sustainability Merit Badges tonight. Remember, you have home work to print out the MB pamphlets and do #1.
Don't forget to keep working on your 30 day fitness plan if you're working towards Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, or 1st Class.
Congratulation to the previous DQ Radioactive Blizzards Patrol for winning the Patrol Contest! The prize will be announced soon, and the second contest is already underway with our new Patrols.
Mrs Sandra Bernstein visited us to present a very generous donation to Troop 186 on behalf of the Daniel Schaefer Trust. She was very impressed by our Scouts and Scout leaders at Isaac Gonzalez's Eagle Court of Honor which prompted her to make the donation. Our Troop Committee will be putting that towards something special to be announced.
Tonight was the first meeting with our newly elected Senior Patrol and new Patrols. And the start of a new Patrol Contest. Stay tuned to learn the results of the last contest!
We ran two stations tonight with a 'smores and knots theme.
Please read the attached flyer for information about the upcoming trip to Gettysburg, PA. You’ll find important information for Scouts and lodging information for family members. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to rent bikes for this trip. The company we were working with is “undergoing managerial changes” and will now not be open until the end of April. I have looked to find an alternate company, but unfortunately, all the others do not allow their bikes to be taken on trails. Please plan to bring your own bike and helmet to participate in the Billy Yank Trail ride on Saturday, April 13th. Otherwise, families can follow along via car ride while Scouts bike. Please ask Mr. Miller for more information regarding this - We can transport bikes. Stay tuned for more details.
Below are the final amounts due for the trip. Please bring your payment to the troop meeting via cash, check, or Venmo.
Scouts: $242.00 (if you paid $125 deposit already, then your Scout owes $117 remaining. Due tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20th)
Troop Leaders: $246.00 (if you paid $125 deposit already, then you owe $121 remaining. Due tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20th)
Adult Family Members: $125.00 Due tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20th
Children (Family Members) $121.00 Due tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20th
^ This fee covers all meals and activities for the trip. Please plan to bring additional money for souvenirs, and lunch at Hershey Park on Sunday, April 14th. Families are responsible for booking their lodging. See the attached flyer for a link to the Campground.)
